How to Connect Your WooCommerce Store to FeedOn

By FeedOn Team ·

Why Connect WooCommerce to FeedOn?

If you run an online store on WordPress with WooCommerce, FeedOn lets you pull your entire product catalog directly into the platform. From there you can optimize titles and descriptions with AI, fix feed errors, and publish to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok Shop, and other channels — all without manually exporting CSV files.

Unlike Shopify (which requires an app review process), WooCommerce is open-source and lets you generate API credentials instantly. You can be up and running in under 5 minutes.

What You'll Need

  • A WooCommerce store running on HTTPS (SSL certificate required)
  • Admin access to your WordPress dashboard
  • A FeedOn account with a project created

Step 1: Generate API Keys in WooCommerce

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API
  3. Click Add Key
  4. Fill in the fields:
  5. Description: Enter "FeedOn" (or any name you'll recognize)
  6. User: Select your admin user account
  7. Permissions: Select Read (FeedOn only needs to read your products)
  8. Click Generate API Key

WooCommerce will show you two values:

  • Consumer Key — starts with \

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install a WordPress plugin to connect FeedOn?

No. FeedOn connects directly via the built-in WooCommerce REST API. No plugin installation is required — you just generate API keys from WooCommerce settings.

Does FeedOn need to be reviewed or approved by WooCommerce?

No. Unlike Shopify, WooCommerce is open-source and has no centralized app store or review process. You can connect immediately by generating API credentials in your WP Admin dashboard.

Is my data secure?

Yes. FeedOn encrypts your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret before storing them. Communication with your store uses HTTPS (Basic Auth over TLS). FeedOn only requests Read permission — it cannot modify your products, orders, or any other store data.

Can I connect multiple WooCommerce stores?

Yes. Each FeedOn project connects to one store. Create a separate project for each WooCommerce store you want to manage.

Does FeedOn support WooCommerce product variations?

Currently, FeedOn imports variable products as a single parent entry using the parent product data (name, description, price, images). Individual variations are not expanded into separate rows. This may be added in a future update.
